Separate page for Derek Black?
editDerek Black was recently in the news for renouncing White Nationalism. NYT WaPo Daily Mail. I came here to learn more, but just stumbled around on a page about a show he ran with his father. It seems that he is himself notable, and his disavowal also notable. Currently there is a redirect up to his father's page. Should that be replaced with a page itself? --Theredproject (talk) 01:01, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
Years later, I agree. The information in this page reads like a biography of Derek Black anyway, full cited and all. --Lasalleexplorer (talk) 18:41, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

Lede
editThe current lede is rather short, but a significant improvement over the previous heavily editorialized version. Unfortunately, I can't think of how to appropriately summarize this individual within the lede and I hope someone else can find a way to do so. white supremacist vs white nationalist
editIt seems that "supremacist" should be replaced with "nationalist" in the lede in order to comply with wp:blp (as well as to agree with the rest of the article). He has stated that he viewed himself as a white nationalist instead of a white supremacist and there seems to not be any citations that make the case for calling him a supremacist instead of a nationalist. Non-binary?
editI take it that, at some point, Black arrived at a decision to identify as non-binary. I deduced this from the use of Singular they to relate to Black in the Third Person. The change of pronoun ought to have been made explicit in the article, since in several places there is ambiguity as to intended meaning (e.g., their seeming to refer perhaps to Black's new Jewish friends).
