editThe following sentences in combination imply that slippery rock is only caused by precipitation. It also implies that the only source of water is rain. While it may be worth noting that it didn't rain that day, it should also be mentioned that water can seep out of cracks in rocks*, and rock can become slippery with wear.
"Craig Luebben, a friend of Hersey, speculated that he encountered slippery rock. A spokesman for the National Park Service notes there was no rainfall in the area that day."
- Watch the 60 minutes video of Alex Honnold climbing Sentinel, the face that Hersey was climbing when he died, and you'll see that Alex encountered water seepage as he climbed a crack in the rock (at 10:10 in the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR1jwwagtaQ ). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kreymann (talk • contribs) 21:44, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
