editI would like to add some information about desoldering techniques. Do yall think it would be ok to throw it up on the main section for desoldering?
- Be bold and add it. Pictures are especially welcome, and good references. You're encoraged to get a WIkipedia user ID at sign-on, this makes it easier to track your contributions. --Wtshymanski 15:08, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Howto
editI think that the howto tone merely requires a change in wording to rectify.
Desoldering Bulb
editThe first paragraph distinguishes this device from a desoldering bulb, but the link for desoldering bulb just redirects back here.Salvar (talk) 00:40, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- Without any comment to the difference between the two, I've removed the circular link to desoldering bulb in this article. – Zedla (talk) 01:13, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- I was really wondering what exactly a desoldering bulb is and how it works. It would be lovely if someone who knows could add a few words (if not an article) about it. -- megA (talk) 10:35, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Where does the solder go afterwards?
editReally stupid question I'm sure, but once the solder's been sucked off the board, where does it go? Is there like a resiviour of solder inside the solder sucker that needs to be emptied, or something? Scaeme (talk) 13:38, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
- You can remove the tip and clean the flakes out periodically. Gigs (talk) 21:04, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
