Requested move 2010
edit- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: page moved to D.R.U.G.S., per discussion below. - GTBacchus(talk) 16:26, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Drugs (band) → DRUGS — This is an abbreviation; I mean, shortened for United States of America is USA, not Usa; thus shortened for Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows is DRUGS, not Drugs. And Manual of Style says nothing exact about that. R8R Gtrs (talk) 09:16, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- The meaning of the name doesn't appear to be relevant, unless it is also the official name, and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks) suggests that it probably depends on pronunciation of the name. It looks like the band is usually referred to as "D.R.U.G.S.", and that would be equally valid (see options for disambiguation at Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Naming the specific topic articles). Peter E. James (talk) 11:31, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- How many people know, or realize, that it is an acronym, and how many merely treat the name as meaning that the band named themselves after drugs? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 13:21, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- I think, they mostly think those both; it is clear words play.--R8R Gtrs (talk) 14:04, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Currently DRUGS redirects to Drug (disambiguation). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 00:12, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose use D.R.U.G.S. instead, that actually redirects here, and uses standard punctuation. On the disambiguation page, there is another band with the name "DRUGS" already. 65.93.12.43 (talk) 04:52, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose to your oppose since points are just stylification. And that band has no Wikipage (but even if it would, that'd be called DRUGS (French band) (if French, that's not in name). And lots of words in brackets are actually OK, nothing scary. --R8R Gtrs (talk) 16:05, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- "D.R.U.G.S." is an equally valid (and less ambiguous) title, and is used by as many (probably more) sources, including the band's page on Myspace - although "DRUGS" would also be acceptable. The current title is probably wrong - it looks like it is only used in Wikipedia and not in any news or official sites. Peter E. James (talk) 16:39, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- periods are grammatically correct 64.229.101.17 (talk) 05:34, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
- MOS:TM: "editors should choose among styles already in use (not invent new ones)" - is the band ever referred to as "Drugs"? Peter E. James (talk) 18:29, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- How is the band's name normally read? — AjaxSmack 22:45, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- Comment Alt Press, Sputnik, Artist Direct, MySpace and Absolute Punk all use D.R.U.G.S as the name, many of which are used as sources for similar music. Surely this should be the name? Grey Matter (talk) 01:59, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- Looks like D.R.U.G.S. is how the band is generally referred to by such sources as exist, so I see no reason not to follow. --Kotniski (talk) 11:38, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- The band appears to be making a move to change the official stylization to spelling it out as Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows. It appears this way on their Facebook and official site (Tumblr). It has been abbreviated to D.R.U.G.S. in the past, and in some places, it is still stylized as the acronym. Never was the name intended to be "Drugs" or spelled in such manner, as D.R.U.G.S. is an acronym for the band's name. Either way, I agree to moving the wiki to either "D.R.U.G.S." or "Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows", as "Drugs" is irrelevant. Marcodarco1 (talk) 02:41, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

D.R.U.G.S. → Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows — It would seem like their name may not be the acronym after all. However, it looks like the album's name is still the acronym. --KЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 22:25, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support - The band initially went under the name D.R.U.G.S. but recent media coverage has used the full name; I think they are shifting on the fly. Chubbles (talk) 19:16, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Progressive Hardcore (Genre discussion)
editHi i think progressive hardcore should be up there since they are Hardcore Punk and Progressive Rock Ericdeaththe2nd (talk )
- Seeming progressive hardcore is a sub genre of hardcore punk and progressive rock, listing "progressive hardcore'", of course it will be redundant. — ıʇɐʞǝɐdʌɐиƭɐqǝoɟʎouɹqoɐʇ [✉] 22:05, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
Fair enough, the other genres should stay up though Ericdeaththe2nd (talk )

Is the Timeline Necessary?
editThe band member history of this very short-lived band is easy to follow without a timeline. Could someone explain what the timeline contributes?--Wizenthorne (talk) 20:06, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
