Chronological timeline

Is there any official proof that confirms the game is set after DMC2? All that's been confirmed is that DMC5 takes place after 4, obviously, but not a single source so far has placed the game after the second game.78.77.163.121 (talk) 08:08, 19 June 2018 (UTC)

Because the name of the game is called Devil May Cry 5, because the fans just call it Devil May Cry V. The game is very commonly called Devil May Cry V or DMCV among numerous professional and casual fan communities. I propose at least including a mention for it in the article. Here are some first party game listing and journalist sources for its usage: 1 2 3 4 V 6 7

Plot section

I think I kind of overdid it in trimming the plot section to three paragraphs but I couldn't help it since I found some bias in the writing. If anybody wants to add something back, feel free to do it but remember to reference with a quote from the game. You can easily find quotes in Youtube, the wikia or other pages.
