Dhirkot is well known for the number of people who joined the army and fought against Dogara Raj. These include:
- Col.late Muhammad Rashid Abbasi R/O Ghaziabad participated in three major wars with India
(1947,1965,1971).After retirement from Army he joined Jamat-e-Islami and rose to the top position of Ameer-Jamat Islami till his death in Dec 1989. The committed,dedicated, well read, dynamic, verstyle and Beautifyl towering personality, source of inspiration and motivation for the youth of the area.Folloing his foot steps his son Zafar Rashid Abbasi joined Pak. Army and retired as Lt.Colonal.
- Captain Muhammad Sanaullah Khan (from Chamyati), who was also the chairman of the Zakat Committee
- Major Naseem Khan (from Chamyati)
- Subedar rtd Sardar Ilyas Abbasi fought two wars (1965,1971)
- late Raja Muhammad Aziz Khan (from Bahal Bugla)
- Raja Hameed ul Khan (freedom fighter Bun Hafizabad)
- late Raja Ayub Khan.
- Raja Lateef Shaheed (Kotli Pall), a companion of Sardar Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Khan. He got Shahadat on 3 October 1947, during the war against Dogara Raj and got the distinction of the first shaheed in the freedom fight of Kashmir.
- Sardar Raja Sheer Afzal Khan (Shaheed) from Naval Makhalya, who embrassed Shahadat in Bagh Fort.

Participated in the 10th Islamic Summit conferenc held in Putrajaya Malaysia,the 3rd Extra-ordinary Session of the Islamic Summit held in Macca KSA , Islamic Foreign minister confrences(ICFM) held in Tehran,Turkey, UN General Assembly sessions held in Newyork,the OIC contact Group on Kashmir held on the side lines of UN General Assembly Sessions, visited USA,UK,France,Belgium,Afghanistan,Phillipines,Thailand,Singapur,Tehran,Turkey,Malaysia,Dubai,Sharja,Abudhabi,Fajera,and Saudi Arabia many times.........

- Engr. Raja Ajaz Ahmed Khan S/O Raja Gul Ahmed Khan (Retd Headmaster High School), resident of village Kotli Tehsil Dhirkot is currently working as Director PTCL Islamabad. He is the 1st Electrical Engineer from Tehsil Dhirkot, graduated in 1987 from University of Engineering & Technology Lahore. He has been working abroad in AT&T, Lucent and Etisalat UAE for more than a decade.
