editI found this article interesting: two remarks: Eleyteia is Mater Matuta but the Greeks confused her with Juno Lucina. The placename is Terentum, not Tarentum: cf. Roman person name Terentilius (tribunus plebis T. Harsa). Later with the introduction of the cults of Dis Pater and Proserpina from Tarentum it changed to Tarentum.Aldrasto11 (talk) 06:20, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comments. I've been working offline on Tarentum/Terentum, about which there are many opinions. Calvert Watkins has a long and interesting discussion in How to Kill a Dragon. Cynwolfe (talk) 11:36, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
