I don't believe a Diamicton is always "matrix supported" by definition. It is a poorly mixed sediment deposited glacially. But, it can be matrix-supported or clast-supported depending on the percentage of clast vs. matrix (ie fines vs. clasts). Diamicton and till are NOT synomonous. A till denotes glacial deposition; whereas diamicton does not indicate the depositional environment. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.103.5.130 (talk • contribs)
