editThe article mentions that there is no etymological link between English Jeremy (or Jeremiah) and the Gaelic names including Diarmaid, despite the similarity in pronunciation. I have therefore removed the rest of this "talk" section. Someone could add the terms "faux amis" / "folk etymology" to the main article if they like, to describe this phenomenon.
