Improving the article

edit

Hello, Ujkrieger. I see you were adding unsourced information to this page which was correctly reverted by Antidiskriminator. If you do have some verifiable and reliable sources to enhance the content, it would be appreciated as the article lacks sources, full stop. Rather than borderline engagement in edit warring, it is always best to follow WP:BRD and bring any concerns to the article's talk page. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 02:03, 6 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for opening a discussion Iryna Harpy. I have not started a talk myself as Antidiskriminator is generally anti-Albanian and refuses to listen to anyone which doesn't agree with his POV. With regards to the sources, the opening paragraph states that the town takes its name from Debar. As Dibër and Debar are not the same word, I tried to explain that the native population of Debar (if you see the article, Albanians are a majority) call Debar 'Dibër', and hence the name of Dibër district. Yes, this is unsourced, but so is the claim that Dibër even takes its name from Debar. If my latest addition is to remain deleted, then so should the claim that Dibër comes from Debar (unless of course a source can be found). Thank you. --Ujkrieger (talk) 09:09, 6 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
That seems reasonable to me, Ujkrieger. I'll tag it for needing a citation for the moment. Also, under the circumstances, considering that the information regarding its history has been tagged for citations since 2010, I'd rather see particularly contentious, unsourced information deleted than retain spurious information, therefore will remove that secion.
As regards the accusations levelled at Antidiskriminator, please do not engage in tendentious editing. As you are still new to Wikipedia, you need to learn that personal attacks are not tolerated: comment on the content, not the contributor. Antidiskriminator is an experienced, long-time contributor of good standing, and works collaboratively and in good faith in many areas of Wikipedia. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 01:38, 7 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
