Military service data inconsistency?

The current sources indeed say he enlisted in 1944. I've removed the years in the infobox until it can be reliably sourced. Stoarm (talk) 18:22, 17 February 2023 (UTC)

If he served the years listed and where, he would also have received the American Theater Medal and the Victory Medal.
