Does anyone else think it weird that he retired to Eccleshall in Staffordshire. Surely a typo and he retired to Eccleshill in Bradford? His daughter has confirmed that he ran a pub in the Idle area (only by e-mail unfortunately) but I could prise the information from the Telegraph and Argus?
After an e-mail with Ann Wallace (from Bradford Council who is tracing the story) I have found his wedding details covered in the Lancashire Daily Post where it says he and his wife will be running a hostelry in Idle (which is very close to Eccleshill) where I presume the Eccelshall misplacing came up. Citation details are in the body of the text, bt you will need a paid account with the British Library to see the page. The joy of all things (talk) 23:10, 10 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
