Rather than go ahead and make a change, I'll put it up for discussion. At this writing, the following appears at the END:
'During his playing days, the running back's last name was spelled "Moegle". Because it was constantly mispronounced, several years later he changed his name to "Maegle" to be more phonetically correct.'
Perhaps could put this very early in the article, just after explaining who this man was. You then go on to talk about the famous tackler-from-bench story and Maegle's role in it, but it has not been explained that contemporary accounts would still have been using the "Moegle" spelling. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.82 (talk) 16:44, 5 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
