Didascalia in Ethiopic/Ge'ez?
editI noted that the discoveries of copies of the Didascalia in the West have been relatively recent. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church recognizes the Didascalia as having apostolic authority. Do they have older copies in Ge'ez (Ethiopic)? Anybody know? Pete unseth (talk) 17:26, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
Clearly modeled on the Didache?
editI'm not sure that there's consensus for this as the article declares. I couldn't access the relevant pages in the cited source. Stewart-Sykes, The Didascalia Apostolorum. (Brepols, 2009, p. 15) argues that the initial chapters show some relationship to the Didache, though this is debatable and certainly does not apply to the majority of the work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hilty7 (talk • contribs) 21:02, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
- The quoted text, the Bradshaw that I have now in my hands, states at pag 80: "Didascalia Apostolorum: This church order is obviuolsy modelled on the Didache, ..". Modelled, or modeled just means based upon, expanded from, and it is not in contradiction with the Stewart-Sykes text you quote, and that you can surely insert in the article with its refernce.
