Nearincomprehensible derivation

edit

The derivation section starts by dropping formulae without ever defining the symbols used - there is no standard notation (symbol conventions differ by textbook, engineering vs. physics, and region). A domain expert may be able to figure out the meaning of the symbosl from the contect, but then a domain expert would not need to reference Wikipedia for the derivation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.156.84.121 (talk) 14:50, 16 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Improper writing style

edit

This article should be written without the use of words such as "you".

derivation tagged for nomenc

Could whoever wrote the section please clarify some of the less-obvious symbols (Vt, μ etc )? I tried fixing some of the obvious notation (E, J, Φ etc.) and added links, though by all means correct anything I could have possibly done wrong. Thanks for clarification. =) F = q(E+v×B) ⇄ ∑ici 07:37, 12 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
