Amount of drug when taken daily?

edit

"Alternatively, the same total dose may be given once daily for three days" - does that mean 3x the dose altogether? If not, could we clarify by saying "over three days" to avoid misunderstanding? It could potentially be life-threatening to get it wrong? (Even doctors may sometimes look here when no packaging is available in remote areas?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.247.165.56 (talk) 10:02, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

"____-quality evidence" in Medical Use section

edit

I'm pretty sure this is not standard form for describing the impact of studies. Can someone revise in a more wiki-compliant in-text manner? Thor214 (talk) 15:37, 25 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Error in structure drawings

edit

The upper structure drawing is correct, but the 3D structure has a methoxy group instead of hydroxy. LDCorey (talk) 16:01, 1 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

You're right. The image, File:Dihydroartemisinin 3D balls.png, was originally correct. It was then replaced with an image of artemether. I have now restored the original correct image. Thanks for catching the error and reporting it here. -- Ed (Edgar181) 16:10, 1 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

IUPAC name

edit

There are errors in IUPAC name: (3R,5aS,6R,8aS,9R,12S,12aR)-Decahydro-3,6,9-trimethyl-3,12-epoxy-12H-pyrano[4,3-j]-1,2-benzodioxepin-10-ol

There is no 1,2-benzodioxepin in compound, only 2-benzoxepin.

In fusion nomenclature bridges are given by prefixes (R-2.4.1.2.). That means atoms of brigdes are not counted in parent hydrides. Without -O-O- bridge there are 14 atoms in parent hydrid, 4 of them are common among more then one ring. So there is no atom number 12 as in prefix above. Pubchem and ChemSpider uses Baeyer nomenclature not fusion for dihydroartemisinin. Gyimhu (talk) 22:19, 6 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
