Could someone check this article? It seems like someone copied the tourist guide in here... Neutrality and accuracy in Wikipedia would be essential in every sense. I mean Piri reis as a spy? He was a cartographer... Have any Templates for that? Excuse me for not doing it myself, but I live in Hungary, and I have very limited access to (English) material on that matter, but had to point out what is just obvious. Could the village of Dingli possibly have been named after Sir Thomas Dingley, Knight of St John, executed by Henry V111 in 1539? This sounds more likely than the article which makes some vague comment about how it might have been named after a local family. Many villages were named after Knights around this time. Possibly Dingli Cliffs were even named before the village PJLVella (talk) 21:07, 15 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

I rewrote most of the article, and I think it is OK now. I'm not convinced that the village was named after the executed English knight, as the surname Dingli existed in Malta from about 1353 (see www.maltagenealogy.com/libro%20d'Oro/dingli2.html) --Xwejnusgozo (talk) 20:23, 16 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

OK thanks. It is quite a good theory that the executed Knight may have had something to do with it but I can also accept that if the name has been around since 1353 then this is more likely to be the reason. PJLVella (talk) 17:01, 21 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
