Graph
editI've made graphs for both this distribution and the Weibull distributions, incorporating comments in: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Weibull_distribution Unfortunately I can't upload them yet since I'm new to the community.
The TikZ to generate the discrete-cases are located on http://pastebin.com/uyJ8j7jn Ragulpr (talk) 18:12, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

Notation
editThere are as many parametrizations as articles on the discrete Weibull, and the chosen one is to show the tight connection with the regular Weibull distribution, exponential, Rayleigh, etc. When someone does the math they will see that it's also very useful perspective for other reasons. The parametrization and notation used here is the same as proposed in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Weibull_distribution and used in most places dealing with Weibull. Example is the excellent article ScholzRagulpr (talk) 18:12, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Should we expand this article with a couple alternative parametrizations, similar to what is already in the regular Weibull article? There is also a parametrization from this article modeling mpox transmission by Endo et al. (p. 8 of supplementary) that could be presented, although I'm not sure if it's been used elsewhere.
