concensus
– There is no primary topic for the term (and if there is, it isn't the band). Move the band from the base name to a disambiguated title, and move the disambiguation page to the base name. (A page view analysis is here: note the film has now been released and likely to spike in popularity. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 07:44, 15 June 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. bd2412 T 02:28, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support generic. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:21, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Until recently the TV series was the clear primary topic, but with the release of the film, that's no longer the case.[1] This could be revisited in a year or two to see if anything changes. Station1 (talk) 17:02, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
- Strongly support per nom - no clear primary topic. Paintspot Infez (talk) 20:24, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support per nomination, In ictu oculi, Station1 and Paintspot Infez. The band is not the primary topic. Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 23:59, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support second move, but redirect Distorted to Distortion as clear primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:47, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support second move and redirect Distorted to Distortion per Necrothesp. Dekimasuよ! 16:42, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- Note: Relisting for potential further discussion of whether this title should be a disambiguation page, or a redirect to Distortion, as some have proposed. bd2412 T 02:28, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- I don't support this subsequent proposal. Wikipedia is not a dictionary, and if a user searches for "distorted" that is what the user should get. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 06:36, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- I also don't support the alt proposal. Distorted (film) is getting far more pageviews than Distortion. Of course, that's a spike for a new film, but we simply don't know what, if anything, is the primary topic until things settle down. Station1 (talk) 20:14, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support per nom. There is no cause to redirect Distorted to Distortion, since on average people are going to be looking for things named "Distorted" (there are many) not the word "distorted", and the disambiguation page for "Distorted" already links to Distortion (disambiguation) (and now also to Distortion). I think readers will get where they want to get, on average, most expediently under the nominator's original scheme. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 15:21, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support second move and redirect Distorted to Distortion per above. Redirection is a valid approach as word variations on a single WP:BROADCONCEPT as Distortion is should generally be handled this way, for the benefit more of editors than readers (anywya, readers are more likely to find their way to the page via search engines than manually typing urls). Perhaps merge the related disambiguation pages as well into Distortion (disambiguation). -- Netoholic @ 01:27, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
