The definition of distortion is incorrect and not interpreted correctly from the source. A distortion does not imply individual agents are not maximizing their own welfare. Instead it means that when agents are maximizing their own welfare (the standard assumption in neoclassical economics), *social* welfare is not maximized. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Justin.grana (talk • contribs) 16:17, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
