As the first step towards distributed collaboration article, we may start by general reading about collaboration. I found following articles on Wikipedia:

I believe above articles can let us grasp a general understanding on collaboration. Then we can narrow it down to distributed collaboration and look for more scholarly articles. There exist a tone of related research, especially in Human–computer interaction, Cognitive Science and Applied Psychology fields. Take a look at: distributed collaboration on GScholar Kashefi (talk) 02:05, 3 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Collocation Type

edit

I think we need two separate pages for Project Room and Radical Collocation type of collocation or find some articles that convey the concept we want to express. e.g. I linked the Project Room to Blackboard system but I'm not sure if this is the most related article. The Project room and Radical collocation, both concepts are taken from a book published by MIT Press which takes into account ideas from numerous papers. However, I will try to find more sources to ascribe to. Thank you for pointing it out.Ayushmishra89 (talk) 23:21, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Infrastructures for distributed collaboration

edit

It seems we need to write a section about some required (technological) infrastructures required to enable distributed collaboration over traditional collaborationKashefi (talk) 03:46, 5 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Examples

edit

Just mentioning a few collaborative software might not reflect the scope of distributed collaboration. I believe we need to discuss some major venues and realizations of distributed collaboration, especially those that could not traditionally achieved before the advent of technology and distributed collaboration.Kashefi (talk) 03:46, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

I think as we have all the mentioned softwares in the example section, we can delete the "distributed collaboration software" sectionKashefi (talk) 20:37, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Correct, we can remove this section as its already been included in the textAyushmishra89 (talk) 00:00, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
