I fail to see exactly what is inappropriate about the tone of this article. It's serious and descriptive - its only real flaw is it doesn't go into enough detail. If the objection is to the subject matter I suggest you check out fuck which no one is complaining about. 202.161.1.156 15:05, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
notice: given that there has been no discussion of the above -- I am going to remove the tone notice in a couple of days unless there is some objections. Certainly I think the article needs a bit of clean up (I do not know how to type chinese - so I cannot do it) but I think the tone is ok. Comments welcome. novacatz 09:06, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
verifiability
editNearly none of the content of this article is, in my opinion, verifiable. Could the main contributor, or anyone else, please provide sources for information? Otherwise, I think we'll need to clean up most of the article. Thanks JSIN 06:39, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- the "Five Great Profanities of the Clan Door" can probably be removed. The examples from classical texts were added by me, I guess they are not inverifiable...--K.C. Tang 09:42, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Original character
editIn the Ming Dynasty, the character 丢 was used in literature for this word. This should be mentioned in the article. 24.93.190.134 02:27, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
