Proposal to merge

edit

I think this article should be merged with Open-source software movement, there's already a lengthy section on this topic there, and it seems unlikely that this article would get expanded to such a length that it won't fit in a single section. The topic will also get more exposure as part of a general article. Pieceofmetalwork (talk) 09:10, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

The section in Open-source software movement should probably be reduced in size and transfered over here, it is too big already w.r.t. its important for oss. This is a coherent topic, the understanding of which relies little on the parent article, so a different article is appropriate. StanceGarmstrong (talk) 18:28, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
With the work done in 2021, I think the page now addresses the concerns stated above. In my opinion it deserves to stay independent. Dachary (talk) 20:12, 22 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Controversy

I'm trying to find some statistics on people leaving open source software due to these politics. 81.129.203.46 (talk) 18:11, 22 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
