I have in front of me sheet music to the song "A Yid bist du!" the cover of which says "From the opera Dr. Almasada, words and music by A. Goldfaden." I believe they use the word "opera" because the word "musical" denoting a genre, didn't exist at that time. But whatever it is, it does not appear to be a play, rather a musical or an opera. -- kosboot (talk) 15:20, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
