No, it was not intended as original research. I included the Dodge A100 compact van in the article to provide context to the "garageable van" content (the stillborn forebear of the minivan designed by both Ford and Chrysler), as compact vans were replaced by the full-size vans of today (largely intended for commercial use). Indeed, they are unrelated, but the succession of the A100 by the larger B-series/Ram Van would factor into the development of the Chrysler minivans. The Caravan has a different model history than the Plymouth Voyager (and different than the Chrysler Town & Country); I also made this section somewhat concise to maintain focus on the parent article. --SteveCof00 (talk) 09:21, 1 August 2019 (UTC)

But the A100 is an entirely different chassis, with no mechanical relation at all to the K-platform vans. At the most, on this page, it might receive a link as a predecessor. The only thing it has in common is the size and the name Voyager. GalantFan (talk) 16:36, 1 August 2019 (UTC)

Source about what? Dodge A100 already has a wiki page, and you aren't finding any relation with the Caravan because it has none, aside from being the same size from the same manufacturer.GalantFan (talk) 04:58, 2 August 2019 (UTC)

(This slipped past me or I would have responded earlier...) As far as the exact dates regarding the stillborn Dodge vehicle, there is not much in the way of information (the source used is the only one I have ever known regarding its existence at all), so I had the same issue myself. Why did I mention the development of the Ford Carousel? It's not to add text, but because Lee Iaccoca played a role with both vehicles (the Plymouth Voyager nameplate existed as a rebadged Dodge Royal Sportsman). --SteveCof00 (talk) 10:07, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

Has the article become an indiscriminate collection of information?

Hello Now wiki! This is interesting that you question the amount of information that is in this article. The best way to answer this is to refer to what are classified as "featured articles" by Wikipedia:WikiProject Automobiles. Among these are mass production cars (Holden Commodore (VE)) and more limited series like the Sunbeam Tiger, or with just 50 units produced, the Maserati MC12 article. A characteristic of all the "featured articles" is the amount of detailed information in them. This includes almost everything about standard and available features on these cars. Some of it is organized by model year or by particular areas in the cases of a one generation model. Moreover, articles such as the Honda Ridgeline (2006–2014) contain a vastly greater amount of almost trivial material - such as the paint codes by each model year. It does not seem that this article about a much more popular vehicle even comes close to including information. For example, descriptions of the standard or optional features can be of interest to readers comparing features among different model years of this minivan. Rather than less, it would be that more should be included in this article to make it worthy to suggest nominating it to the WP quality review and editorial validation process. Cheers! To answer the first question, it depends...along with verifiability, the presentation of content is highly important as well; there is some room for improvement (perhaps that can be talked at length in a different discussion). The above-mentioned articles are a good reference, as they explain the vehicle without it seeming like an advertisement (WP:NOTADVERTISING). Side-by-side, the Holden Commodore article makes for a good template, although the former is a single generation of a model line; the Caravan has been produced over five so far, making a project challenging. The Ridgeline article is a good example of TOO MUCH detail, however.
