editI cleaned up the links -- only one worked. That one has a links page, but I haven't checked it. --Pete Tillman (talk) 14:51, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Town Panel image
editI just found an image of a Town Panel.
- Nice photo, thanks! My guess is, it's a mid-60s model. I had a 64 PW carryall with the same style bodywork; see our photo of the 63 in the article. They kept that style until the line was discontinued, ims. --Pete Tillman (talk) 17:45, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
- If you actually checked out the photo, you'd see it was a '56. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 19:13, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
- I saw it, but don't believe it. Photo taken in 68. This s a work truck that looks almost new. So my guess would be 68 or 67. But who knows? Or cares, really... Pete Tillman (talk) 01:10, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
- It can't really be from 1967 or '68, because they didn't make them back then. Honestly, if it were from the mid-1960's it would've been more like the two 1963's in the front of the article. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 01:32, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
- You're right, discontinued 66, my bad. Wonder how long they kept making the WM-series, the military/WW2 looking ones?/ My 64 W-100 was pretty *rusty* when I sold it in 77. Good truck, but rode hard. Best, Pete Tillman (talk) 16:12, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

pre-SUV?
editArticle says: “The Town Wagon, along with truck-chassis wagon competitors from Chevrolet, Jeep, and International, were precursors to the SUV.”
Except your page on the Chevrolet Suburban says it is an SUV, so the Suburban was a precursor to itself. Nice trick. 2600:4040:5D30:4800:E999:1A02:B334:D21F (talk) 14:12, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
