I have expanded this stub article slightly to include the civil parish of Dodington as well as the village. The main reason for doing this is the Sport section, about Dodington Football Club, which may contain a misunderstanding. Without diminishing the notability of the village itself from a Wikipedian point of view, it is a fact that present-day 'Dodington' has its main focus in the housing estates to the south of Yate and Chipping Sodbury, which are a far more likely hinterland for a football club than a tiny rural village. I am wondering if the implied connection of the football club to the village is a spurious assumption made by someone who does not understand the nature of the parish. Unless anyone has any input to the contrary, and as the section is unsourced, I intend to remove the reference to the village. - Wollygobble (talk) 00:47, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
