this page is, by the looks of it, a "machine" translation of part of the Doesburg page in the dutch wikipedia and littered with untranslated or partially translated words, incorrect or incomprehensible grammar etc. Which begs the question whether "machine" translation of pages from other language wikipedias should be accepted or acceptable in the first place, even as a "start" or stub.--24.207.127.172 (talk) 19:51, 9 February 2008 (UTC) |

IPA
editUser:IvanScrooge98 recently changed the IPA transcription of the name of the municipality from /'dusbʏr(ə)x/ to /'duzbʏr(ə)x/. However, the adjacent ogg recording sounds (to me—I do speak quite good Dutch but claim no special expertise in its IPA transcription) more like /'dusbʏr(ə)x/. Are we confident the edit was right? Thanks --- Frans Fowler (talk) 15:23, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- I went along with common
{{IPA|nl}}
usage of marking voice assimilation (see note f at Help:IPA/Dutch), even though for some speakers it might not always occur and I agree it is not very noticeable in the audio file. ~ IvanScrooge98 (talk) 15:50, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
