Talk:Dolly mixture

Latest comment: 13 years ago by Wordmama in topic Ingredients?

The sweet this article refers to is also covered by Dolly Mixtures & Dolly Mix. Can I suggest that someone more skilled than myself combine the three. 84.67.203.190 22:09, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Done this. I also requested this page be moved to Dolly Mixture, where the second word is capitalized. Howdoyouturnthison (talk) 22:05, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I also intend to get a photo of some dolly mixture, and add some references tomorrow if possible. Howdoyouturnthison (talk) 23:48, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Requested move

edit

For your info, I have contested the move that you requested, here. Somno (talk) 07:03, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well I'm not bothered if I'm wrong here. It just seemed more appropriate. Howdoyouturnthison (talk) 10:46, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm not bothered if I'm wrong here either, seeing as I haven't heard of dolly mixture! :) I was hoping you could tell me if it's a proper noun that needs capitals or just a normal noun like "liquorice allsorts"? Somno (talk) 14:21, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I bought some today - they're called "DOLLY MIXTURES", which doesn't really help things. They seem to be known by all sorts of names, and each with different capitalization and such. Howdoyouturnthison (talk) 15:58, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Haha, that's very helpful! ;) Perhaps the range of names means it's not a proper noun? I wonder where we could find this out for sure. Somno (talk) 00:57, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dolly Mixture?

edit

I thought it was 'Dolly Mixture' not Dolly mixture, it's not a mixture of dollies after all it's the name of something. Move? --82.32.129.128 (talk) 13:57, 7 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I notice that this candy is no longer being sold to the United States. Does anyone know why? Is one of the colors forbidden to us Yanks or some such? Just curious. Wordmama (talk) 18:28, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
