Good Move

edit

Good. This disambiguation page is back in the right place under Dom, there being no principal article Dom. Please discuss here before reverting. This disambiguation page is also now up to MoS standards and I propose we remove the clean up template and delete it from the clean up list. Ex nihil (talk) 00:19, 19 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Département d'outre-mer

The abbreviation, D.O.M., is always capitalized and has periods. Iterator12n Talk 02:04, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why not merge with DOM page

edit

Why not merge this page (Dom) with DOM as it is the case with Rem for example.

I find it's confusing to keep both pages separate. Is there any wiki policy regarding this issue?

The conclusion was to perform the merger as proposed. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 12:06, 28 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Per the above, the two disambiguation pages should be merged together at "Dom". -- 70.51.200.101 (talk) 06:19, 3 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Discussion

edit
Theoretically, there should be a distinction between a disambiguation page and an acronym page but here it just creates confusion. Ex nihil (talk) 02:20, 4 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Dom Pérignon

edit

Hi Clarityfiend - just looking for clarification on why my addition of "Dom Pérignon" was removed. Is it not commonly (informally) referred to as "Dom" - similar to how "Moët & Chandon" is called "Moët"?

Thanks! Timtjtim (talk) 21:24, 5 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Timtjtim: Do you have sources for that? All I see is "DP", "Dom p" and, according to Wiktionary, "Dompa". Clarityfiend (talk) 10:19, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
