The "domain name goldrush"
It's kind of weird that we don't have a article, section, anything on the "domain name goldrush" of the late 1990s to early 2000s, when companies realized it was important to get domain names that pertained to their intellectual property (and various individuals tried to beat them to it and hold the domains for ransom, or just buy up in quantity any domains that sounded interesting like "satan.com", etc.). It's an interesting little era in Internet history, but will probably require research in period media (early Wired magazine issues, etc., etc.). — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 14:19, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
Update the statistics as of February 2024 domain name from Verisign

Change the statistics conducted in 2017, which is: As of 2017, 330.6 million domain names had been registered. to As of December 31, 2023, 359.8 million domain names has been registered, according to DNIB.[1]. [2] 14.185.32.176 (talk) 04:08, 10 February 2024 (UTC). The first citation is wrong, don't copy it!

Add sources about mistyped domain names section
The section about the mistyped domain names has no sources. I apologize for worsening by adding a little more unsourced statements. I thought I could help by adding sources to the existing statements and maybe a little more.
