- A suggestion for a new to-do list:
- Clean-up lead to better summarize this article (it's mainly copied from 2011 Egyptian protests).
- Expand the analysis of the government's response.
- Add information about looting, law and order, and the roles of the police and army.
- Check that relevant information added to 2011 Egyptian protests is also added here.

editA New list of office holders have been released. here are some:
- Gawdat el-Malt, who has headed the audit office, was appointed the finance minister.
- Mubarak retained his long-serving defense minister, Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi — and gave him an additional title of deputy prime minister — and also kept Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit
- Gaber Asfour, a prominent literary figure, was named culture minister
- Egypt's most famous archaeologist, Zahi Hawass, was named state minister for antiquities, a new post
- Ministry of Information --> Anas El Fiqqi (same)
