editCan an American editor explain why Keating's pronunciation of 'salon' is amusing to Americans? AFAIK the English pronunciation is similar to the French, where the word originates. Is it pronounced differently in AE? --Ef80 (talk) 21:03, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- The British pronunciation is 'sall-on', with the emphasis on the first syllable. Americans tend to pronounce it 'sah-lonn', with the emphasis on the second. Smurfmeister (talk) 15:14, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
