"Involved"
edit@Drmies: Regarding your recent edit summary, I'm wondering what you mean by "appears to be an involved editor". 142.160.89.97 (talk) 03:54, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- Well, it seemed to me that there was a certain interest there. Now I am not so sure about that anymore. Drmies (talk) 15:08, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Drmies: By "interest", do you mean having a "real-life" personal/professional connection to the article's subject? If so, then no, I had literally never heard of him before coming across his name in the Jeffrey C. Alexander article yesterday. 142.160.89.97 (talk) 20:36, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
Promotional inclusion of unpublished book
editIn violation of WP:CRYSTAL and WP:NOTPROMO, the article creator is edit-warring to include mention of an unpublished book [1], [2], whose putative publication date is at least 6 months away, cited only to the publisher's promotional blurb: [3]. -- Softlavender (talk) 09:43, 6 November 2018 (UTC); edited 10:07, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
- Feb 2019. It's not a blurb, it's an announcement from a respected publisher. I still don't understand why you think anything I have done on this one is promotional. I am not connected with him nor do I have any record of promotionalism. Philafrenzy (talk) 09:56, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
- Otherwise known as a blurb. It's still from the publisher; it's still non-independent; it's still promotional, and it still violates WP:CRYSTAL. And it's May, not February; that is their New York/US website (note the "us" in the URL: https://www.bloomsbury.com/us/labels-9781474280464/). The release date is in American date format, and the date is May 2, 2019. Softlavender (talk) 10:07, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
- Ok, so it's 6 months. Philafrenzy (talk) 11:48, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
