editI'd like to believe that someone who drew a comic for 15 years in a major publication is notable enough for wp:BIO. --Mblumber (talk) 02:59, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- Of course he is, and the trigger happy person who did this childish drive-by nomination for deletion obviously didn't even look at the sources. He is completely incorrect (not that he cares) in stating that the references for this bio are "self-published". Most of the bio info was published in a feature article in The Advocate (a national magazine with a 40+year history), then reprinted in the subject's two books (the immediate source cited, because I had that handy)... both published by Liberation Publications Inc. This source was supplemented with info from an online article which is itself well-referenced, and also published by a corporation. There isn't a single self-published source cited. The Advocate is about as credible and reputable a source as you are going to find on the topic of 1980s gay culture. Of course expecting this level of understanding from someone who apparently thinks that Flag New Articles For Deletion is a first-person shooter game is asking a bit much. -Jason A. - Let's assume good faith, please. If someone takes it to AfD then that's fine. --Mblumber (talk) 15:15, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- I assume good faith. I'm sure he really believes that this kind of antisocial conduct is good for Wikipedia. I disagree. - Jason A. Quest (talk) 02:01, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
