Country

edit

@Sumanuil: What country is this township located in? According to the English language version of the township government website, the "Dongyin Township Administration, Matsu" is located at the address:
No.121, Zhongliu Vil., Dongyin Township, Lienchiang County 212,
Taiwan (R.O.C.).
The Free Area concept is not discussed. The Chinese character version of this website gives the same address as:
東引鄉公所地址:連江縣(馬祖)東引鄉中柳村121號
(Pinyin: Dongyin Xiang Gongsuo Dizhi: Lianjiang Xian (Mazu) Dongyin Xiang Zhongliu Cun 121 Hao)
(English:Dongyin Township Office Address: Lienchiang County (Matsu), Dongyin Township, Zhongliu Village, No. 121)
Nowhere is the Free Area concept mentioned.Geographyinitiative (talk) 21:06, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your edit added back a deleted file. That's why I reverted it. Why are you asking me what country it's in? - Sumanuil (talk) 22:03, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Translation of Mayors List on Mandarin Chinese Wikipedia

edit

No source is given for the list of mayors on the Mandarin Chinese Wikipedia version. However, after a brief search online, the list seems plausible with reference to the last several mayors at least. I translate the list here for addition to this page once Wikipedia has a reliable source or whatever is needed to confirm this info.

Preliminary translation into English: [1]-(looks like the source for the early mayors)

  • Huang Hsing-Hua (黃星華) (July 16, 1956-May 1, 1959)
  • Yu Te-Chu (尤德渠) (May 1, 1959-January 1, 1962) (this person was shortly thereafter appointed mayor of Beigan/Peikan and Nangan/Nankan)
  • Chen Shou-Wei (陳壽維) (January 1, 1962-November 1963) (partially concurrent with his term as mayor in Beigan/Peikan)
  • Wang Chih-Jen (王志任) (November 1963-May 1, 1970)
  • Lin Shou-Chi (林守基) (May 1, 1970-October 8, 1974) (had been mayor of Beigan/Peikan twenty years previous?)
  • Chen An-Ko (陳安國) (October 8, 1974-March 1, 1986) (Article says he's the third mayor of the township- not sure exactly how they are counting)[1]
  • Chen Pao-Ming (陳寶銘) (March 1, 1986-August 31, 1993) (before his term ended, was to serve as secretary to County Magistrate Tsao Chang-Shun (曹常順); for the remaining period of his term Township Secretary Chen Duan-Tsai (陳端才) acted as mayor in his place)
  • Lin Jih-Fu (林日福) (March 3, 1994-June 20, 2001) (died from disease during his term in office; Township Secretary Chen Duan-Tsai (陳端才) acted as mayor in his place)[2]
  • Chen Pao-Ming (陳寶銘) (March 1, 2002-August 13, 2005) (died suddently from heart disease; Township Secretary Chen Duan-Tsai (陳端才) acted as mayor in his place)[3]
  • Feng Yin-lo (馮印樂) (March 1, 2006-December 24, 2014) (This person's name looks like a joke- 印樂 looks like 音樂 (music). If the "joke" interpretation is followed, then the transcription is "Feng Yin-Yueh", but I doubt it.)[4]
  • Yang Yun-Cheng (楊雲成) (December 25, 2014-December 24, 2019)[5]
  • Lin Te-Chien (林德建) (December 25, 2019-present)[6]
