As a matter of interest, I have an old envelope addressed to The Secretary, Cricket Club, Donington, sent from Kirton, via Boston and it is dated SP 4 1849. This is early for a cricket club in a small village/town. I just wondered of the club still exists?
Going online doesn't seem show any cricket club for this village, and Google Earth doesn't reveal anything that looks like a cricket pitch in and around either the village, or the parish with its hamlet of Northorpe. Acabashi (talk) 11:58, 28 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
