Tourism

edit

I will change the heading to "Hiking' and remove the statement that certain trails are inaccessible in winter, as this is simply incorrect. Also, I slightly re-worked the bit about access routes and removed references to novice, intermediate and advanced hikers. These terms are entirely subjective and potentially unhelpful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Calamitybrook (talkcontribs) 02:41, 19 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello Doodletown, it seems as if your additions to Stony Point (town), New York and Doodletown, New York are taken directly from http://www.daytrips.org/Doodletown/doodletown.html. This may be a copyright violation; please review Wikipedia:Copyright FAQ. :: Salvo (talk) 03:54, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

New version

edit

I've just written a new copyright-free version, (with more info on the trails and without the advertising-like tone of the other one). I did include a link to the site that the original version was ripped off from, since the tours are free, but all of the prose in the article is original. Kafziel 18:15, 2 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the bold move, Kafziel. :) :: Salvo (talk) 02:17, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Grammar Error

edit

Replaced "Winter" with" the winter season. Winter should not be capitalized at the end of a sentence. Very minor change. Trinidadiv 22:23, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Added citations

edit
I added stuff without being very fussy. The basic info is certainly not controversial, but I note than somebody came by and wanted to see sources. I removed their [citation needed] tags, but much agree that callingn Doodletown a "village" is doubtful given its limited population and lack of municipal government.

I'm going to remove the link to "Friends of Doodletown website" because it is now a spam page with risk of malware. I will include it here just for completeness, but ask that no one click it unless they are protected. http://www.doodletown.us/Doodletown/Home.html--174.44.106.14 (talk) 16:02, 2 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
