Regarding the back-and-forth deletions/restorations of the list of participants, the answer ought to be to update the list to the 2008 list per the program's website. You will find that there aren't a lot of changes from one year to the next. PKT (talk) 13:23, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

List of buildings

edit

Readers can at least get an idea what kind of buildings are open during Doors Open. The official list (http://www.toronto.ca/doorsopen/) is not accessible at least 2 months per year.

While the list is not complete, I (as a reader) find it useful. Don't remove it. Raysonho (talk) 13:40, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

You need to add that link as a source, whether it's accessable all the time or not; a source is needed for lists like this; especially for the past-year information. As well, I'm adding an incomplete list tag, so readers know the list is not complete. TheHYPO (talk) 18:08, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Did I ever say that I wanted to have the link removed?? Raysonho (talk) 21:57, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
No... but the link is not there right now [only the general site as an external link]. I would suggest a link to the list page itself should be included at the top of the 2008 list as a reference in <ref> tags, and again, any references used to compile past lists should be cited with that list. Fourth weekend vs. last weekend

edit

Recently, someone changed the Dates section to say that Doors Open Toronto is held on the last weekend in May, but this is not always correct.

So far (as of 2011), Doors Open Toronto has always been held on the fourth weekend of May, which is usually also the last weekend, but not always. In 2009, it was held on the second-last weekend in May, because May had five weekends that year. So I've changed it back to say "fourth". RedEarth (talk) 19:40, 25 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wow.

Whoever did that multi-year list, kudos. That's awesome. -- Zanimum (talk) 17:59, 17 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

That would be me. Glad you like it. I intend to keep it current indefinitely, which isn't too difficult since I go through the new list every year while planing out my weekend. I've got good references for each year listed (Toronto Star print listings, PDFs, website, etc.), but I'm missing 2000-2003, unfortunately. If anyone has those lists, let me know.
