'A' and 'an'
editI changed 'a' to 'an' in this revision so that the text would read "an American lawyer". In the edit box it did read "an United States" but there was a pipe in the link so it displayed as "an American lawyer". Following Student7's revision of 2 July 2007, the article now contains "He was a American lawyer". LewPot talk 12:29, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Bridgman, not Bridgeman
editBridgman is the correct spelling according to these independent sources: 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica, Columbia, Encyclopedia of World Biography, U Penn, West's Encyclopedia of American Law (enough? :-) ). I'm going to request a Move. I probably can't do it myself because the article originally had the correct name, but in 2007 that page weas erroneously turned into a redirect that has itself been through several edits. - On further review, the change in 2007 was done by rewriting the pages in question, not by a formal move. As a result, the history is split between these pages, so there is little point in doing a move back. See Talk:Dorman Bridgman Eaton for more details. David Brooks (talk) 01:10, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
