Motto?
editIn the article it says the motto is "Verita liberatis vos" but then what is the writing on the book in the logo? "Ich Heiss Du"? Sounds like German to me, but what is it supposed to mean? And of what significance is it? Moocows rule 05:56, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- Looks to me like the logo was changed by a vandal. The writing is nonsensical German, "My name is you."-Nikai (talk) 22:02, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Architecture
editI just returned from a summer at Dōshisha, and the campus is gorgeous, especially as compared to the architecture on many other campuses. It would be great to see an architecture section in this article, to learn more about the origins of the architectural style, history of the individual buildings, etc. Yoroshiku. Neutrality
editThe leading section of this article is written like an advertisement. Doshisha University is definitely not "one of the most prestigious universities in Japan today". Doshisha University is ranked 1001–1200 in the QS World University Rankings, while the University of Tokyo is ranked 23, and there are many other Japanese universities in between, so this description is highly misleading. It is also worth noting that the articles on far more prestigious Japanese universities like the University of Tokyo and Kyoto University are written more modestly. 133.106.60.107 (talk) 14:49, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
