Yaqui language mentions having an alveolar-velar stop, /kt)/, but this is unsorced & is claimed to be in alternation with a simple cluster of /kt/, so I'm only adding this as a comment 4TTB. --Tropylium (talk) 12:44, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Doubly-articulated consonants
editGiven that the SIL sketch cited in the article on the Yélî Dnye language states explicitly that the bilabial closure in Yélî Dnye doubly-articulated consonants is "suprasegmental", and that the distribution of the doubly-articulated consonants falls exactly where one would expect a phonological class of labialised consonants to be found, I'm not sure the Yélî Dnye double articulations should really be treated as uniquely different from the several other extant languages that have doubly-articulated consonants as realisations of labialisation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.102.158.15 (talk) 07:16, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
- Keep in mind that this sound exists on a phonetic level no matter how the language is analyzed phonologically. Mo-Al (talk) 07:25, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
