Enlisted officer?
editOne thing that is a bit weird is the notion that someone could "enlist" as an officer. Officers are commissioned. Enlisted men "enlist" -- enter into an employment contract -- in the armed forces. I don't know if McKay served as an officer or an enlisted man, but to say that he "enlisted" as an officer is wrong. --Bob Bolin
- --While he ended his WW I service as a lieutenant, it's unclear from available sources wheather he began as an officer or enlisted man. Have changed wording to read "served" which applies to all members of the military.--Orygun (talk) 03:20, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
