His history of the siege of Jerusalem, 'The Faithful City', is dedicated to "our daughter, Leila, and her comrades". Interested to find more, I found this page on Geni.com, the basic information from which I include here, in case it goes away: "Lila Naomi Joseph - Birthdate: September 05, 1928 - Death: October 09, 1948 (20) near Dorot, Negev, Israel".
