Best known version?

It's only the "best known version" as per Annie Briggs' personal opinion.
Not Irish but English -
editThis is wrong, it isn't an Irish traditional, it's an English traditional. Referring to the River Blackwater in Essex.
One of the most famous Viking battles in Britain, the Battle of Maldon, took place directly beside the river in 991.
