Restaurants and Restaurants!

edit

Second sentence of the the Overview paragraph claims "a slew of restaurants, hotels, and restaurants opened their doors". Maybe bars is what was meant? :) Balfa 18:59, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Overlap

edit

The US Census information overlaps over the pictures. Can someone fix this? Edward (talk) 18:37, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Strange page in that it looks odd in both IE and Firefox. In IE the 4 images are over each other whth a lot of whitespace below. In Firefox the were either under or over the demographics. I moved them down to their own section well below the demographics templates. There is also a problem with the templates. One has "Census tracts within [[]]" and the bottom four have a line that looks as if it might be clickable but can't be seen. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 04:09, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Culture

edit

I think this section could be expanded. There have to have been other performers at the theatre than Eddie Izzard and I noticed that there were a couple of museums that appear to be in the downtown area as well. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 04:09, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Neighborhoods

edit

"Downtown Dallas" officially encompasses some of the areas outside of the loop. The maps need to reflect this. According to DowntownDallas, the area stretches from Oak Lawn to the Cedars, from Fair Park to the Trinity/Design District. The list of neighborhoods needs to be updated to better reflect the official map here: http://www.yourdspot.com/docs/InsideMap.pdf

Also, Trinity/Design District and Baylor/Meadows need to be added as downtown neighborhoods. Dfwcre8tive (talk) 20:45, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Delete this Article

edit

Can someone remind readers here why this article even exists? Shouldn't it just be incorporated into the article for Dallas itself? I don't wonder why Wikipedia begs donations to 'keep its servers running' when so many unnecessary articles are published.207.172.166.181 (talk) 01:02, 13 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

The article is here due to the size of the Dallas article at 120,354 bytes. It's explained at Wikipedia:Article size and Wikipedia:Splitting. There is little chance that this article will be deleted or merged back into the main article. Enter CambridgeBayWeather, waits for audience applause, not a sausage 02:47, 13 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Pretty well developed article with good modern photographs, good historical photographs, good historical information, lots of subarticles (that is, of the subneighborhoods), a great dynamic map, good lists.. just needs to be more of an "article" and less of a group of lists. drumguy8800 C T 09:44, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
