Why only "2"?
edit"Each exit in the highway loop is numbered 2" - yeah, ok, but: Why? It doesn't seem to be something obvious like "all on the same mile". There must be some reason, because otherwise it could just use letters without the totally redundant number. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:9E8:2B3C:9500:8AD6:3843:31A4:EEA7 (talk) 11:19, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
Is this sourced somehow?
editI have to say that I've never heard the downtown loop called the "Alphabet Loop" - is there anywhere in print where this is referenced? (ESkog)(Talk) 00:25, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- It's not called the "Alphabet Loop." I've added a Citation Needed tag. I was tempted to just remove it. I mean, it's completely fake, but it's been on Wikipedia long enough that now you can find this name used on the web. But no one in real life says that.
- That used to be the name of this article, years ago. I suspect the original author of the article though it was cute, and didn't understand or just didn't take it seriously. 2605:A601:AC8A:D200:60AE:CB59:9A9A:C6BE (talk) 04:58, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- From a quick Google search, it's in use in a local NPR article from 2015 and various other websites that aren't Wikipedia mirrors. Imzadi 1979 → 12:21, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- I would like to see sources from before the creation of the original Wikipedia article. No one here says that. I believe Wikipedia was in fact the origin of the term. 2605:A601:AC8A:D200:7012:F169:526B:41B8 (talk) 14:24, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
