Change "inappropriate" private messages to sexually explicit private messages
Change "Cody Conners alleged on Twitter that the reason for Dr Disrespect's ban was because he had inappropriately messaged a minor on the platform's Whispers messaging" to Cody Conners alleged on Twitter that the reason for Dr Disrespect's ban was because he had sexted a minor on the platform's Whispers messaging
Rolling Stone Bloomberg The Verge
Three sources confirmed to Bloomberg that Beahm had been kicked off the site for sending direct messages to a minor that included sexually graphic details. Two of those sources also confirmed that Beahm had asked her about plans for the upcoming TwitchCon.
A former Twitch trust and safety employee who worked for the platform at the time Beahm was banned and has direct knowledge of the matter confirmed to Rolling Stone that Beahm continued to send sexually graphic messages to a minor he knew to be underage.
Late Friday, Conners posted on X, “He got banned because got caught sexting a minor in the then existing Twitch whispers product. He was trying to meet up with her at TwitchCon. The powers that be could read in plain text.”

- Not done: The first version seems better. "Inappropriate" is better known that "sexually explicit." and "sexted" seems worse than "inappropriately messaged." TheNuggeteer (talk) 11:32, 29 June 2024 (UTC)

About one of the paragraphs on his Twitch ban, where there's a quote from a live stream by him in April calling Twitch "slithery disgusting purple snakes" and lamenting his lost sponsorships because of his ban. Suggestion that the quote be shortened to: "Dr Disrespect called Twitch 'slithery disgusting purple snakes' and criticized losing 'a lot of big deals, a lot of sponsorships; sh*t we had Nike, we were talking to Oakley; I can bring up Oakley prototypes right here.'" 2601:47:100:AC40:D27A:8A44:674F:703C (talk) 19:28, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- Also should be noted that his YT channel was kicked off the Partner Program and demonetized. [1] 2601:47:100:AC40:D27A:8A44:674F:703C (talk) 19:46, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- Done I trimmed the Twitch paragraph and added the YouTube bit. Prefall 17:14, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
Probably should note that the sentence on Discord removing him from their Partnership Program reads: That same day, Discord removed Dr Disrespect from their partnership program, citing violations of its Code of Conduct.
The sentence on YouTube doing the same thing that I requested above reads: The next day, YouTube suspended Dr Disrespect from its partner program and demonetized his channel.
I think in the latter sentence, it should be "their partner program" instead; and in the former, "their Code of Conduct"? 2601:47:100:AC40:278A:721B:B9DB:7B62 (talk) 13:36, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- Another sentence:
Shortly afterward, Midnight Society, the gaming studio co-founded by Dr Disrespect, released a statement noting that after speaking with parties involved, it would be terminating its relationship with Dr Disrespect effective immediately.
Try "shortly afterwards" and "terminating their relationship" instead. And this under other ventures:Dr Disrespect featured in multiple of the team's social media posts between 2022 and 2023.
Should be cleared up to be that he "featured in several social media posts from the team during the 2022 and 2023 NFL seasons". 2601:47:100:AC40:C80C:D8B3:6B78:BAC0 (talk) 14:48, 30 June 2024 (UTC) - AND here in early career:
[...] as the community manager of Sledgehammer Games.
The present reference accompanying it, including archived, does not lead to that link and redirects to blog.activision.com. Try this reference directly from Sledgehammer Games' blog instead that announced he was a community manager: [2] Archived: [3] 2601:47:100:AC40:9905:1A19:EE45:F264 (talk) 16:16, 30 June 2024 (UTC) - And I just noticed a misspelling:
YouTube did not have enough access to evidence that would justify a terms a service violation
- It's "terms of service" not "terms a service". Guess I should have pinged @Credema, Internetyev, J36miles, Kicking222, Larcombe, Pbrks, Patar knight, TheNuggeteer, and Prefall: like so. 2601:47:100:AC40:A9FE:57CF:11E5:E080 (talk) 19:35, 30 June 2024 (UTC) - I'll end this list with a "link equal to linktext" bug found with Halo: Combat Evolved linked as
[[Halo: Combat Evolved|Halo: Combat Evolved]]
. Once more, sorry for the mess. 2601:47:100:AC40:DC2E:A0B2:CC7D:74A (talk) 01:14, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
At least there were some edits just recently... But now this: Following this, YouTube suspended him from its partner program and demonetized his channel.
Should be "from their partner program". Respectfully @Mellk:. 76.99.92.104 (talk) 11:39, 1 July 2024 (UTC)

Realized that one of my requests above for a sentence at Video game development and other ventures was accidentally not done: "Dr Disrespect featured in multiple of the team's social media posts between 2022 and 2023"
. Again, it should instead clarify that he "featured in several social media posts from the team [the 49ers] during the 2022 and 2023 NFL seasons". Or "seen in several", no matter there. Also gradually found several more things that can be fixed quickly:
- At Early career -
"a variation on then-popular"
- grammatically and with context from the surrounding sentence, should be "a variation of then-popular". - Same section -
"in costume as the [[Streaming persona|Dr Disrespect persona]]."
- It may just be "as Dr Disrespect" or "as Dr Disrespect, an bombastic and body-armored character who claimed to have won the Blockbuster World Video Game Championships in 1993 and 1994" instead. - At Permanent ban from Twitch and fallout (I remember contributing to it in 2020 and suggesting things back than) -
"debunking any "crazy speculation" or theory that had developed"
- By "theory" I should have meant "conspiracy theories", since he allegedly spoke of them (like those by Icke about COVID) without saying to the contrary that they're (to-date) untrue and wrong. Also, "Doc 3.0" isn't upcoming, and it referred to his return to live-streaming on YouTube in August 2020. - And at Video game development and other ventures one more time -
"Dr Disrespect announced the launch of a triple A gaming studio named Midnight Society, which would be headed by him"
- I think "triple-A" substitutes "triple A" and "was" substitutes "would be".

Which version is correct?
So to avoid warring...
2601:47:100's - On May 29, 2024, Dr Disrespect revealed he turned down a $10 million annual deal to stream on Kick, which is a service with a more lenient approach towards content moderation and criticized for hosting controversial content creators.[1] He claimed that the offer was "gracious" and was "humbled" and "appreciative", but he would need $50 million to join the platform. He stated that he was "not interested in moving" and that his channel was "looking good". Kick’s Head of Strategic Partnerships, Andrew Santamaria, said that "he’s an amazing streamer, but we need to ground things in reality".[2]
Or Rock & roll is not dead's - On May 29, 2024, Dr Disrespect revealed that he turned down a $10 million-a-year deal to stream on Kick. He described the offer as "gracious," "humbling," and "appreciated," but said he would need $50 million to join. Dr Disrespect, in character, said, "Fifty million, you get the two-time. If not, I'm not interested in moving. The community is too strong here. We're established. The numbers are just outrageous. We're looking good, we're feeling good. I'm in cruise control, driving multiple Lamborghinis. I'm in no rush." Kick's Head of Strategic Partnerships, Andrew Santamaria, said, "He's an amazing streamer, but we need to ground things in reality." [3]
Either way, my edits have been in good faith and with the sole intent of improving this article since June 28, which means explaining what's otherwise WP:TECHNICAL. The other is, it turns out, their first in months. 2601:47:100:AC40:B033:D1EF:9255:5DE7 (talk) 17:45, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

- Perhaps this may get your attention, from Draft:Sneako, which you just edited:
Sneako is generally considered to be part of the "manosphere", an ideology promoting masculinity, misogyny, anti-semitism, homophobia and opposition to feminism.[4][5][6]
That's called WP:ONELEVELDOWN and it can help reach a WP:NPOV.
- I added it back without the reference about Kick's content moderation. Ironic, isn't it? 2601:47:100:AC40:5A9B:19BA:6B1C:AD8F (talk) 20:07, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
I don't want to WAR. However, IMO the statement about Kick has nothing to do with Dr Disrespect, Kick is not the subject of this wiki page. Second, Dr Disrespect's quote gives further context/information on the turning down of the offer from Kick. I'll ping a few wiki vets for a second opinion. Savvyjack23 @Greyjoy @Greyjoy: @Savvyjack23: , What do you think? Rock & roll is not dead (talk) 20:29, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Firstly, I'm aware of that part, but perhaps it's noteworthy that Kick has played host to those that were banned from Twitch? Secondly, if you were paying attention, that doesn't mean it has to be quoted in full. At least you're bringing others you know here, so be it. Don't forget that the aim here should be to improve the article, nothing less or more. 2601:47:100:AC40:CF91:A85F:2DB4:431C (talk) 20:38, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- It's irrelevant that Kick hosts banned twitch streamers in the case of this wiki page, DrDisrespect was already successful on another platform after the Twitch ban before he was offered a deal on Kick. Kick also gives eleclusive deas to Twitch streamers. Rock & roll is not dead (talk) 14:10, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
- And I added back the reference, modified with a quote from the NY Times report. I know the guidelines too. 2601:47:100:AC40:60F3:CE7A:BB9E:F5CA (talk) 13:57, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

Citation for removal from Rogue Company
@SlySabre you're forgetting something? [1] 2601:47:100:AC40:E33:A6EA:C7A1:929C (talk) 13:07, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
- Actually, I didn't forget anything. That IGN article wasn't even up prior and by the time I made the edit, and at the time, only one from Dexerto was published. We already used the latter for the NBA 2K23 source, so I didn't want to use them again, twice in a row, as it would feel redundant. I figured eventually, even though it had already been confirmed, that more websites would start to cover the Rogue Company situation, and so they did. So now, I will go back and finally add that in. Truly bizarre whitewashing going on here
Why does the article read Cody Conners alleged on Twitter that Dr Disrespect had been banned for inappropriately messaging a minor
when Cody's tweet and the article it is attributed to says "sexting"? The media calls this sexting, sexually graphic, and sexually explicit, yet we are censoring here with what he admitted to, which is "inappropriate" and then leaving a WP:EASTEREGG with a blue link to sexting? 2600:381:FEE0:398:6BAE:DC2A:7F4D:279C (talk) 08:28, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
