Subspecies?

edit

Didn't bother chasing this up, it appears the current name is as a subspecies of Draco volans. I put a comment-out on the taxobox.

According to this source: http://ist-socrates.berkeley.edu/~mcguirej/McGuire.Kiew.BJLS.pdf , D. volans and D. sumatranus are seperate species : "We recognize D. sumatranus and D. volans, which occur on the Sunda Shelf, as distinct species because they are allopatrically distributed and diagnosable" This other source, http://www.ecologyasia.com/verts/lizards/common_gliding_lizard.htm aslo calls them D. sumatranus However, http://www.wildsingapore.per.sg/discovery/factsheet/lizarddraco.htm calls them D. volans I'm not sure which is the correct one. I'll try to get more information if I have the time. AtikuX (talk) 05:14, 30 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
