Formal Definiton
editI understand that drag divergence mach number is defined as the Mach number at which the derivative of the Drag coefficient with respect to the Mach number = 0.1. Is this correct?

I took four semesters of aerodynamics in college, I haven't heard of that before. I would be surprised if it can even be formalized like that, because the derivative of Cd with Mach number is also a function of the reference area, which is arbitrarily defined by the user.
